Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using D.air ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. It's that simple.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. We'll notify registered users of significant changes.
Who We Are
D.air is a volunteer-driven collective. We're not a company. We don't have shareholders. We're a group of people who believe technology should serve communities, not exploit them.
This platform exists to connect developers with socially impactful open-source projects. We don't charge for access. We don't run ads. We operate on contributed time and resources.
Accounts & Eligibility
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use D.air. If you're under 18, you should have parental consent to participate in online communities.
Account Responsibility
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Use OAuth authentication responsibly. Don't share access. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.
Accurate Information
Provide accurate information in your profile. Don't impersonate others or misrepresent your identity, skills, or affiliations.
User Content
Your Content, Your Responsibility
You retain ownership of content you submit: project descriptions, onboarding materials, profile information, join request applications, and any other contributions.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share. Don't include sensitive personal information about others without their consent.
License to D.air
By posting content on D.air, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content as needed to operate the platform.
This license exists only to make the platform work. We won't sell your content or use it for purposes unrelated to D.air.
Content Removal
You can delete content you've posted (subject to platform limitations). We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines.
Project Submission & Review
Submission Process
Anyone with an account can submit a project for inclusion on D.air. Submissions are reviewed by volunteer administrators to ensure they align with our mission: socially impactful, open-source work.
Review Discretion
We may approve, request revisions, or reject submissions at our discretion. Common reasons for rejection include:
- Not open source or lacking a public repository
- Commercial projects disguised as community work
- Incomplete or misleading information
- Projects that don't align with our social impact focus
Rejection isn't personal. We'll explain our reasoning when possible.
Maintainer Responsibilities
As a project maintainer, you're responsible for your project's accuracy, responding to join requests, and maintaining a welcoming environment for contributors.
Joining Projects
Application Process
To join a project as a contributor, you submit a request that project maintainers review. Maintainers have full discretion to accept or decline requests.
No Guarantees
Submitting a join request doesn't guarantee acceptance. Maintainers may decline for any reason, including team capacity, skill fit, or communication concerns.
Contributor Conduct
If accepted, you agree to follow the project's contribution guidelines and code of conduct. Maintainers can remove contributors who don't meet expectations.
